For my grandma

The tears will come, clouding my vision
I'll choke out a goodbye
And right away I'll miss her

My love won't die
But I'll mourn and cry
For the one who spoiled me as a kid
And sent me cards for holidays
And always saved me a hug

I cry now
And she's not even gone
But she can't talk
And they say she'll die

How can this happen?
She has such a big heart
But we all die
Even if we don't deserve it

She's gone now
She died a quiet, painless death
She's in heaven now
And she'll be there until the end

I'll cry for her, knowing she's happy and content
And when I die I'll meet her at Heaven's gates
And smile

For my grandma I must say
I'll always love you
And miss you until the end

    I really loved this poem
    I recently went through the same thing
    and you wake up and your never sure if it's true or if you only dreamnt it. sadly nothing really ever takes away the pain but you can learn to understand that, thats how life works.
