THe mask I once had

by JA   May 26, 2007

The mask I hardened
Through grief and strife
Painted pink and happy
Was quite rosy and great
Showing her false fake life

Underneath that mask
So deep deep down inside
A young girl cries and begs for death
Her heart bleeds
Her life fades away
Falling into a dark black pit

One day that mask couldn't hold the pressure within
The mask cracked showing a dark dark girl
Full of shadows and death
Wanting to be free from unbreakable chains

Without her mask her friends were scared
Couldn't stand what once hid inside
Shrieking at the frantic beast
Who just wanted to die
