Mixed Emotions

You said you loved me but you lied
I found out you just wanted to save my pride,
However that was not the case cuz you didn't even
Break up with me face to face.
And now I sit alone at last
With a razor blade in my hands,
I carve two words into my skin
As I dearly hope my kin does not walk in.
The blood is dripping to the floor
As I cry out in pain
No More!! No More!!
If I could have just one more wish,
I wish you'd give me one last kiss
And then I think to myself
You used me just as I have
Used this razor blade.
I look down and
See the bleeding has slowed
As I think of the number of
People who will ask if I'm ok.
I look down once more and see the words
IM FINE
Etched upon my skin.
The next time I see you
I won't cry I'll just pull up my left sleeve
And exclaim I'm fine
As I point to the words carved into my skin
You look at the words and feel guilt from within.
You walk away and I start to cry,
No-one knows the pain I feel inside.
