And The Like

by catherine   May 26, 2007

Birds and the like on the trees,
Through the air there is a gentle breeze.
The birds make irritating noises and the pigeons coo,
I feel like saying Shut Up! All of you!

Couples on benches kissing and the like,
Wishing I could drive their heads through a pike.
Look smug as I walk by, contented with their lives,
Not wanting to die.

Teenage girls and the like sitting on the walls,
Plastered in make-up the drugs giving them a call,
Self-obsessed, wanting to get laid.

I've tried so hard, but to no avail,
I'm still alone and sadness is over me like a gale.
My life spells NOTHING in capital letters,
Everyone wrapped up in themselves,
Thinking no else matters.
