It really is so hard,
to look into your eyes,
& wish it never happened...
Open my eyes,
just to realize that none of it is a lie.
You smile,
but hidden beneath is the same thing,
that deprives me of sleep,
every night,
the thing that makes paying attention impossible,
a question no one could answer.
"What is going to happen?"
No one will ever know,
we'll just have to wait & see,
but that is so hard to do,
because I couldn't imagine a life,
with only me.
I don't know how you did this to me,
I really wish you hadn't,
because now I can't focus,
I only think of you,
& sometimes even unknowingly,
start to cry.
I don't like this crazy tragic,
but it's something we must endure.
I just wish things were easier...
I just wish you'd give in.
