As blue floods the dark
Faith and hope, too far

Steps of the brave
But cries from ones face
A simple mistake, takes another life today

War wanders through
A soldier is lost
Today 1 saved, 2 is the cost

Rain in the puddles
Mud on each boot
Marching for hours
In the song of a flute

Blue streams of hurt and sorrow
One by one
Lives unmistakenly will be taken tomorrow

Just you in the dark
Wishing someone was there
