We can never be, you and me

by Anet Woodcock   May 31, 2007

My breath grows thicker while you are near.
I can't stop flying over ahead, every time you look at me.
Your blue eyes melt my black soul.
Your simple self is so much more then others say.
You cause me to think of nothing else.
Every night I see your face closing in on mine.
I want so much for it to be,
But you seem to have faded like everyone else.
I feel cold thinking about how it can never be you and me...
You're to great, amazing, kind, and powerful, for my weak soul to have.
I only want you to touch my skin and heal my wounds
But like we all know it can never be.
I am cursed with lust and love for you and this can never be cast out of me.
Your heart is too strong for me,
I cry now knowing we can never be holding hands under a blanket of stars
You can never pick someone as small, depressed, & lost as me
You have so many more great beautiful ones that you can take by the hand.
So why do I waste my time dreaming of you and me?
I don't know
But I do know you're the one for me
And that's why I can never be with you
Cuze you will never know
And we will never be...
