Good-bye

by Anet Woodcock   May 31, 2007

Your tears have soaked my clothes.
I hold you tight as you tell the truth.
You make a sad story come true.
Why are you so depressed?
I have tried to help you.
I have been there every time you fall off the track.
I kept your feet on standee ground.
But you keep on dropping you hopes and dreams on the trail.
You have no faith, no love, no hope, no courage, no trust, no heart and no gratitude for all I have done for your breaking soul.
The human race is falling from our high pedestal.
We're become nothing great and grand, as we used to be.
We care only for ourselves and no one else.
I tried and said I won't give up on you
But know it seems like the only way to escape your deathly grasp
Is to leave.
We said we would never turn our backs
But how can I not when you care for nothing I've done for you.
So today is the day I say good-bye to your soul and abuse
Good-bye.
I will never be able to call you friend again, and you the same for me.
We've broken each other and know we must find our way out of this tight cold hole
By ourselves...

Good-bye
