The color of my rainbow

by mini   Jun 1, 2007

Red faded away with the hatred.
Hatred for life. Hatred for the people in that life.
Orange was replaced by the emptiness of my relationships.
Relationships with people close and far.
Yellow turned dark when my heart lost its light.
The light that guided me to see the light in the darkest times.
Green walked off as I felt envy consuming me.
Envy for anything and everything that wasn’t mine.
Blue disappeared when it became the color of my mood.
My mood when I woke up. My mood when I slept.
Indigo wilted away with my desire for attention.
A desire unfulfilled.
Violet vanished as anger took over me.
Anger directed towards the smallest of things.
Now, the only color left in my rainbow, is black.
