Life Struggles

by Michelle   Jun 2, 2007

Internal struggles, external troubles

My mind is a chaotic mess.

Anxiety blossoms, good days - forgot them

At times I don't realise I'm blessed.

Worldly distractions, hate how that happens

I start to lose sight of my soul

Life is a journey, in which I'm still learning

The secrets on how to stay whole.

Jesus is with me, I know he would lift me

If but I cry out for his help.

But pride is a burden, a curse which I'm working

On losing in spite of myself.

No problem is bigger, than God can deliver

Solutions so perfect a fit.

He'll do alterations, smooth down altercations

The demons who plagued me will split.

But oh how I worry, and oh how I scurry

To build a life all my own.

Ignoring who made me, I never will be free

God, through my life, must be known.
