Creaming Colored Funeral

by Izzie   Jun 2, 2007

Standing by the side
of the creamy white coffin
the frail body resides
her eyes closed forever
peacefully she lies
beauty even in old age
the memories show true pride

everyone stands crying
holding hands and weeping
although we all knew she would die
her hands folded on her chest
with her rosary pointed to wards the sky

she looks happy
we know the pain she endured
she was lively and independent
feisty as they come
but the strength she showed
was HEROIC

as i stand here
trying to piece together words
my eyes tear up
i feel quite absurd

i know the past
cant re-due itself
although i wish it would
for the time i lost without her
throws me to the curb
