How Young and How Blind

by Pondering Thoughts Of Nothing   Jun 3, 2007

Dead in the water,
Unable to die.
Sunken and helpless..
Just living a lie.
Dreams are forgotten.
Dreams put on hold.
One changes quickly;
New things grow old.
Beauty and sharpness
Grow wrinkled and dull.
The wild waves of life
Slow down to a lull.
Idiotic adolescence...
have no time to think.
The tired and worn
Can't sleep a wink.
Thoughts screaming out
Are hushed to a buzz.
The qualities of living
Are muted to a fuzz.
Young, innocent eyes
That bolt and fly
Will soon settle down
And awake to the lie.
