In A World

by Godoftheblackflame   Jun 3, 2007

I can't take these feelings a minute more
Pain deep within broken heart and core.
Planted and grown from the inside out.
Shown only by these tears when I shout:

"Love is pain in another world not far away
A place where the road goes only one way
Through the woods and past the roses
In this place where lines among friends never end"

Though shouting, these words never heard
These messages always to be blurred
Spelled out quite so simple, but means abused
Under my breathe I whisper these words:

"Never thought I'd pronounce my love for you
But you need to know these words hold true
I'm falling but not a moment scared
Having the idea that I was really prepaired"

Your words devoured my heart and made it cold
And in its emptyness your memory it will hold.
Love as a friend and nothing more
Left me broken, tattered, beaten, and sore

Thought wrong of Love and you,
Underestimated and misunderstood their ability to hurt.
Hurt all of these dreams that it could be just us two,
Forever and a day spent with you
