The Devil's Funeral

by Jemarie   Jun 3, 2007

Mourn not for me for it wasn’t I
But the beast within me who died
That wretched fool is gone
Whose passions were untamed
Whose unbridled lust laid waste
A thousand dreams

Come, sing the song of victory
For this tormented soul you see
Is free at last
Pride has lost its lethal touch
And greed no longer rules
Within my heart

Rejoice with me, the fight is over
The enemy of this soul is dead
My tormentor is gone
The devil, whose endless voice of doom
Was silenced as the Will proclaimed
The end of death's groom
