ALL THAT I AM

by candace   Jun 3, 2007

Every image of the perfect lie
just reminds you of all the harm
and every second of time that passed by
because you fell for his stupid charm

all the faded but still there memories
run through your mind like a slide show
repeating over themselves like waves on a beach
wondering how much your relationship would grow

every night you spent lingering over his words
tripping over yourself to get to where he is
dreaming of every word you never heard
stitching up the heart that he once called his

hoping his love would return to your heart
reading over every letter he ever wrote you
and wanting so badly to just rip it apart
but knowing he'll forever be a part of you

drowning yourself in your own frustration
wishing on every eye lash and shooting star
that he would come back and say the words you long to hear
" baby, i love and need all that you are"
