The REAL me

Just because I keep it inside
Doesn�t give you a reason to judge
Maybe there�s more in here than you will ever know
Or just plain out understand

There�s more pain, hurt, confusion
Then I could ever start to tell you about.
But I am a person just like you
That has feelings and emotions too.

I�ve been through a lot.
In this short 16 years of my life
But I take it and put it on my shoulders
And keep on pushing through life.

I may seem sour and bitter some days
But know that It�s not you.
Just take a hold of my hand
And help me take another step.

When I push you away,
Please don�t stay away for long.
Because I really do need you there
Even if I don�t show it today.

All I ask for is for you not to give up
Because I have already done that
So I need you to help me
Through all my trial and tribulations.

I have had some many people
Just get up and walk out the door
That it�s hard to trust again
In fear that you�ll do it to.

So know that I try so hard
To give you the trust you deserve
Because deep down I know that one day
I�ll be able to give it to you.

SO before you even get to know me,
Know that I keep things bottled up.
I don�t tell a lot of things,
And it might take a while
To get to know the real Jessica.
