Sea of Black

Where is she now
When I need her the most?
She's abandoned my heart
And headed for the coast

My heart grows black
And my blood runs cold
I'm trying to hold on
But I have nothing to hold

My eyes flood with tears
My chest caves in
I'm not sure if I'm strong enough
To ever love again

I feel my life
Begin to slip away
I'm falling head first
Into a sea of gray

Let me drown here
Let my heart sink to the bottom
Washing away all of the colors
Of spring, summer, and autumn

Gone are the days
I could embrace life with joy
Now I've become a fool
Just a lost little boy

No one turns their head
No one looks back
And now I fear this sea of gray
Is turning into a sea of black
