We Seperate Ourselves

by claire   Jun 4, 2007

We share the same breathe
The same tears
The same bones
The same fears

We seperate ourselves
Time
Place
Name
Race

We focus on a something tiny
Like a crow zeros in
On something shiny
We ignore mind, spirit, soul
Seeing only skin and body

We're grapes on a vine
Leaves on a tree
Yet we think we're alone
In our talents and miseries

We commit suicide
When we kill
We are cannibals
When we take
What others
Need still

And we never stop.
