Maniquins

You can window shop for us
We are things to look at
Our minds do not matter
We have none, as reprisal
We are damned to silence
We honor what were ordered
Not a word from us
But to be sure were quiet
Our lips are tied with wire
Hearts are not our thing
We all look the same
Thin, white and tall
That is how we belong
We are human beings
We are on display
Chose us as you please
You can order us from magazines
Tell us what to wear and eat
We are what you want from human beings
An image of perfection
We are what you tell us to be
We are human beings
