Dear little sister

by Maricia   Jun 5, 2007

Mama, I just thought I would take the time,
to fill you in on life.

I'm 9 years older,
so believe me when I say,
YOU, decide your destiny,
not the cards you play.

You're beautiful, so stay that way.
Don't cheat at life.
Expect the unexpected,
and understand what's right.

Accept apologies that should be accepted,
and apologize when you should,
Be the person you would be proud of,
Not the person you could of.

Honor the honorable,
dream the biggest dreams,
Love with all you've got,
and believe what you want to believe.

Laugh everyday,
and be honest,
It's okay to be complex,
it's okay to be modest.

It's okay to not know everything,
It's okay to lose,
Have standards for yourself,
Don't be afraid to be you.

Dare to be different,
Try your hardest to succeed,
Be the second rock to this family,
Right next to me.

I love you Angelina,
The world is coming to you,
Have your arms open.
Love you.
