I loved you

Believe me when I say
I can't do this no way

I loved you, I loved you.
Each night I asked myself why?
Each night I prayed for light to guide me
But no light was switched on and no questions answered.

Pushing me aside
leaving me alone
Making me feel unwanted and used

When you remember me do not hold back
For that is how we mend our hearts
Snow melts but I thought our love would last never break and Hold fast

My pain grows on like a flower in bloom
stretching its leaves and letting out its colours like tears
But I do know the flower dies and with that my pain goes

Believe me when I say
I need you to show me a safe way.

    Excellent Jack,

    Again very well written. I like the use if imagery in this poem the extended metaphor in particular is quite powerful.

    This is a very sad poem Jack, it's nice to see that you have a good outlet for your emotions.
