Taking the Chances

by Tasha   Jun 8, 2007

He is the most beautiful man I have ever seen.
As he walks across the room lightly and uncaring.
As if the whole world belongs to him.
And I know that my heart will forever be owned by him.

Yet he doesn't know just how much I feel for him.
That my breath is taken away every time he walks toward me.
And my heart beats faster when he brushes away my hair.
Then the beating stops when he looks deeply into my eyes.

His smile unfolds something inside of me and shows a hint of curiosity.
Leaving me to question just what I am willing to do.
His hair is always slightly a mess and flys in every direction.
And his rough facial hair looks as if he hasn't shaven for days.

My heart says no, but my body and mind urges on for him.
And now my heart is split in two.
Do I take my chances with him and leave my safety cushion?
Or do I stay confined, left only to be his memory? -
