The Little Things

by Silent   Jun 9, 2007

We fill our lives
With all that is grand
No limit defined
On all we plan

Our hearts grow cold
To the constant change
As we forget
The little things remain

While in a smaller place
We are loved and rejoiced
Each and every time
We just open that door

In a world so big
That no one can tame
Our friendship remains
Their most important thing

To teach us everything
That we have missed
And comfort our souls
From this loneliness

They carry or hopes
And protect our dreams
So keep a place
For the little things
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Peace
    I really love this.
    I'm not usually one for rhyming poetry but this made a really great point and the writing is wonderful.
    Well done.
    Peace, love, and harmony.
    This piece has an excellent message we all need to remember. It is so often the little things that matter, that make a difference. Very well written, great piece.
    Peace, Poetry & Power,
