Cuento de hadas.

Cuento de hadas.

I was lying in my bedroom
Napping on my bed.
It was only for an hour or two,
Just to rest my head.

For a while I did lay there
The blanket by my feet;
The autumn it was strangely hot,
I couldn't stand the heat.

The light was off, the curtains drawn,
But they did let seep
A single beam of moonlight
As I nearly fell asleep.

Nearly fell asleep I say,
For fall asleep I'd not,
Because my eyes sprang open,
And fixed then on a spot.

A spot near the window,
It was very large indeed,
It suddenly began to move,
And pick up quite a speed.

It scared me very much so,
I was frozen to the bed.
My frightened palms were sweating,
My frightened cheeks were red.

Then the flying thing it stopped,
And it perched upon my chair.
I couldn't quite believe
What I saw was sitting there;

She really was, so very small,
About hand size I'd say,
Her skin was bluish coloured,
And her wings were coloured hay.

A fairy, was sat on my chair!
Beckoning to me.
Admittedly a little scared,
But this I had to see.

An azure finger pointing
Towards my bedroom door.
She waited for no answer,
But just spread her wings to soar.

I followed apprehensively,
Fearing the unknown,
But the fairy's presence
made me feel much less alone.

Out the doorway we did go,
My garden did await.
What creatures lurked inside the grass
And trees so very late?

Over the fence I followed,
Into the eerie wood.
I felt the darkness watching me
So I put up my hood.

Deeper still and deeper.
Into the dark woods core.
Fright was sitting on my face,
And fear from every pour.

But still we ventured forwards,
Then finally we stopped.
The fairy she then looked around,
Onto a branch she hopped.

I could see what she was looking at
It stood there by a tree.
It was this (she had made clear)
She wanted me to see.

Seven foot it must have been,
Decrepit to the eye,
But emanated magic
No question as to why.

Its body was half made of bark,
And some was of a goat.
The face seemed slightly human,
And it had a russet coat.

It was a faun! So very old,
But had such different looks
And features of the sort of faun
You find in fairy books.

I held my breath, when to me
It spoke of many things.
Princesses, magic, other worlds
Of mermaids and of kings.

"I've chosen you my princess
Forever you will stay
With me in the palace and in
The gardens we shall play.

But not quite yet for we must wait
Till the full moon does arrive.
The king and queen will meet you
As a princess you will thrive."

In most stories people wake,
And find they're dreaming dreams,
But this was real, I do not lie,
All is as it seems.

I returned so many times,
And talked with the faun.
And as the full moon's sun arrived
I disappeared at dawn.

My parents did not search for me
They didn't care a lot,
For me or for my funny ways
They'd rather have me shot.

And so a princess I became
I can't express the joy.
My palace is my kingdom,
And the world is just my toy.

The king and queen adopted me
And loved me like no other,
And now my mum is pregnant,
Soon I'll have a little brother!!!

The faun he is my greatest friend,
I love the fairies to,
So look out for the fairies,
Cause' one day they could find you.
=============================================================
This is the concluding story to the waiting faun.
