Good boy.

A little boy
Around the age of five
He stands in the corner
And he cries
He has no one to love
No one is helping him from above
What did he do wrong
He prayed every night religiously
But that was before his mother started
Hitting him viciously
About two years ago
He thought he was a good boy
When he compared himself to the rest
And not to long ago his father was saying
He was the best
So why did he leave him with her?
He knew what was going to happen
He knew he was his only boundary from her going to far
He wished he was near the pantry window
Where he could wish upon that shooting star
That happened to pass by every Saturday night
This isn't right
And it's against the rules
Why does she do this to him
When he knows that she can see
The pain that she puts him through
He wishes he could go back in time
And again be two
Where things went right
And he didn't have bruises to cover
When his mother didn't hurt him
With his daddy standing above her
When he was the good bot she wanted
And not the boy she laughed at and taunted
Why did he leave?
Where did he go bad
Why lately has his mother been so sad
Can't she just put things behind her
And forget about whatever happened then
After all these years he is losing hope on
Whether or not she actually can
His eyes are swelling
And with this pain he is dwelling
No more can he stand all of her yelling
He knows he is a good boy
Why must she take it out on him
As if he is her chew toy
He has no one to tell
Except for you, friend
So bear it with him
His life is about to go down
Into a serious dim
Because here comes his mother
With a bat and mad,
Of coarse at him.
