Somebody Help Me!

by Kahli   Jun 13, 2007

'Somebody help me!' I scream,
as my whole life is torn at its seams.
The pain draws ever near,
and everything becomes unclear.
They tell me everything will be alright,
but I know the feeling; it's all in spite.
'Come to the Darkness,' the voices say,
while my feet fumble to find the right way.
I trip and I stumble along my path,
protecting myself poorly against their unrelenting wrath.
I try to stop them, I really do try,
but all they ever say are things to make me cry.
I walk in the shadows of my past,
hoping the torment will fade and pass.
But it never does, it just keeps coming,
and I'm tired of all the hatred and shunning.
But I can't stop them, so I'll just give up,
while they dangle my life over a steaming tea cup.
'Somebody help me!' I scream,
as my soul is burned and cut at the seam.
