16 YEARS HAVE PASSED

16 years have passed and no one knows
A glance of sadness, a sigh that grows
Still a hopeful feeling stays inside
Eager for the sadness to subside
Some days are up some days are down
But on this face of mine there’s still a frown
I know I’m not the girl I see
I know this is not suppose to be
But it seems like things change for a reason
Just like how we have our four seasons
I know tomorrow is a different day
I know that everyone has they’re say
But words can bring you down
Just as fast as a ball falling to the ground
But I know life hasn’t had a smooth run
And I know that life isn’t always fun
But I’ve learnt to take things as they come
And I try not to take it all in, but only some
So 16 years have gone and passed
And all those rough times from the past
I wipe away and I edit them out
So I won’t have to figure out
What they were all about.
