Whats going on

Growing up and seeing people suffer
thats the life that i been through
waking up and feeling anger
that is the pain that i get from you

seeing my brothers and sisters begging
are the things going on in our streets
more and more are still adding
how could we sit back and let this completes

whats going on

each dream i have at night
i pictured this world being the best
how could this feel so right
when our people are living like a pest

i hate to see this but i see it everyday
what can i do about it when the rest don't even care
i would love this misery to go away
it takes helping to live in this life of welfare

i see the hunger in my people eyes
yes i feel their pain
i see they try everyday
but theres nothing they have gain

i pray each night for you my brothers
to never let this happen again
i wish the best for you my sisters
and that i say amen
