Sitting In My Bedroom

by Clare Bear   Jun 17, 2007

Sit in my room waiting for that noise I dread
The noise I here every night when you step in
Its 6:32 you're late, you must be with him
I hear your voice threw the whole entire house
Screaming and yelling at nothing
Loud foot steps creep toward my room
I can tell they are yours
A few soft taps rap at my bedroom door
"Clare darling,"
I slowly walk to the door
Knowing my fate wont be good
She slams the door open on my face
Throwing me back on my bed
She pounces on top of me
Striking me over and over
My face, my ribs, my arms,
Now it's 6:34
And I have two broken ribs
I wait till you are in the bathroom
I make a break for my car
I dash down the hall and out the side door.
Once in my car I lock the doors
Start the engine quietly
I start to pull out of the driveway
I see you bolt out of the door
Putting the car in drive,
I finally get away
6:37, and I'm finally free
