WHAT IF?

Pen and paper to scribble things down,
Make the memories exist even if never found.
So many secrets to hide in this life
Could cause no end of problems no end of strife.

But feelings are feelings ignore them or not.
Can't grow old believing you would've got caught
Or regretting making the choices you made,
Wondering what if for the rest of your days.

Forks appear on life's yellow brick road all the time.
Temptation to stray from the path that's outlined.
And you never will know what's around the next turn
Will it be a walk in the park or will fingers get burnt?

Not knowing 'what if' sends you out of your mind
But you can't live your life pretending you're blind!
