Son as a father a letter as a gun

by catherine   Jun 18, 2007

You see a man in a suite
He canâ??t even afford fruit
Stressed to the heaven
Working nights till eleven
People are not what they seem
what his problems I canâ??t dream

He is only twenty one
A wife at home and a child of one
His childhood dreams now fade
He now takes up a shovel and spade
What he digging seem to last for years
Then covered over by regrets and tears

Just one mistake
Thatâ??s all it takes
Not stupid just lonely and sad
Then things got bad
Now a fatherâ??s son has a son
He still a kid his parents arenâ??t done

No wedding band
Lay on her hand
Just tales of happy ever after
Maybe this will come later
They about to loose it all
They money doesnâ??t fall
He takes a gun
And shouts its over they have won

No one to help them
They wrote a letter that killed them
A letter through the door
A family no more
A shattering scream
Their child left in a dream

Shouts never herd
His last words
They havenâ??t won
They canâ??t take my son
He shot them all
The letter from his hand did fall

People arenâ??t what they seem
What were his problems I canâ??t dream?
