So it Seems

Perfect match or so it seems,
He says you're the girl of his dreams,
Writes you love songs about your heart,
Says he was in love from the start.

Tells you that you were meant to be,
Says your eyes are all he sees,
Gorgeous girls are more his style,
So he says he loves you cause your smile.

He reads you poems from the clssics he stole,
Says he loves you from the depth of his soul,
But girl let me tell you the truth,
He doesn't give a damn about you.

He calls you baby cause he forgets your name,
Its all part of his player like game,
Sings you songs his mom wrote when she was young,
Says he loves you in lies forming his tongue.

So girl trust me please,
Listen to my pleads,
Don't fall too hard,
You'll just end up scarred.

    Such truths and realities can be applied to many harsh loves in the world. For many of us, in our desire to be loved and cared for, we give up our hearts to those who care only for the body that carries it, and they have no regard for the heart or soul. This happens to both women and men.

    But as always, your poetry is of exceptional beauty. You write with the wisdom and intelligence of an old wisened man, and with the love and beauty a woman in love would know.
