Where angels go to die..

by Hannah   Jun 20, 2007

Flutterby, flutterby, why do you cry

'cause I've seen where angels go to die

where in heaps they lie, broken winged

while wild beasts tear them limb from limb

perfect faces no longer exude that light

gone to the hollowness of night

soulless they were made, and so they'll remain

mourning angel's tears mix with the rain

as it falls, tears of angels above

mourning the death of innocence, pure love

volcanoes erupt, and earthquakes rumble

dark clouds loom and thunderheads grumble

where angels go to die

little boy, little boy, why do you cry

'cause you've been to see where angels die

where countless corpses, bleeding they lie

as their flesh turns to liquid, their bones to dust

lying there through dawn, day, night, dusk

with bloodstained wings, or so they appear

dead guardians against hatred and fear

lie

where angels go to die.
