Time and Time Again*

by Anthony   Jun 20, 2007

Candy green eyes
the woman I love.
Death has past you more than once.
Stop and look around
You may die again.

Every death is a change in life
time and time again.
Place your heart next to mine
Hold me close, share my breath.

The world has destroyed itself
time and time again.
The end has come and past, and will come again.

Life is full of repetition
time and time again.
Everything is one and nothing is the same.
In the game of loss, nothing is to blame.
The death of a friend is the death of a physical form not a spiritual body

Candy green eyes
Fire red hair.
The woman I love is no longer there.
My world was lost as yours still lives.

The Indians drums beat loud and long.
Beauty forever
time and time again.
Resurrect the spirit of the great musician, and his muse.

Speak to death as if he were your friend,
confront him often.

The eagle flies overhead and drops swiftly to the ground.

Death strikes all of us
time and time again

*Note: This one also has a connection to Jim Morrison. This started out as a poem about Pam Morrison, but changed before the first stanza was over.*
