My Best Friend

I thought I knew friendship
Then I saw your face

You were given to me
by Gods grace

Until he called you home
then i felt all alone

I turned to you for everything
And you were always there

Now the only way to
speak to you is simply by prayer

I miss you in this place
I miss feeling your embrace

You were my best friend

All of our memories keep me strong
I even remember when we sang our song

So many things left unsaid
So many of your smiles replay in my head

So many things left to say
So Lord please hear me when i pray:

" Heavenly father please help me cope, to keep staying strong and not give up hope. I miss him so much, I wish i could understand, but I do know this was all part of your plan. Thank you for lending him as long as you did, we've known each other since we were little kids. Lord up above please help me to see how much loosing him has really changed me. Please be with me in this time of sorrow, hopefully it won't hurt this bad tomorrow."
