The Last Phone Call

by ROBIN   Jun 22, 2007

Sunday morning I call to talk,
but you said you where leaving,
wish I could have made you talk,
you told me to call back Monday at 3,
you said you would answer the phone,

my sister calls,
she told me Grants dead,
tears fall from my eyes,
"stop lieing" I say to her,
"I'm not" she said back,

then she said "he got into a car accident",
"the car rolled on top of him",
he was rushing home to get my phone call,
not knowing it was the last one,

so I call him at home,
his mom answers the phone,
I hear in her voice something wasn't right,
she says "sorry Honey",
"Grant died late last night early this morning,
on his way home",
more tears run down my face,
my throat closed up,
I couldn't breath,

the phone fell outta my hands,
on to the floor,
I say to his mom,
"how did he die",
she said "he lost control of his car
it rolled on top of him 4-5 times,"
only if he wasn't on his way home to get my call,
he would still be alive to this day,
I'm sorry Grant Moran,
I say to myself,
they say he rolled down a cliff,
but, when I went there,
there wasn't one,
why they lie,
only if I didn't call him,
he would still be here,

R.I.P Grant Moran
we miss and love you dearly
you where my first love you took my virginity in Bills bronco on our way to Palmyra Wisconsin when I was only 15 years old,we had so much fun together.
