Blood Smears

The fire in my heart extinguished
The blood running through my veins
Drained out through the slits
Leaving nothing but crimson stains

Or So I thought

I watched from afar
As my mothers tears
Made pools of grief
Around the blood smears

I watched from afar
At my fathers clenched fists
Fighting to be strong
Fighting throught the clouded mists

I watched from afar
As my brother stood lost
No where holding comfort
Wanting me back at any cost

What was I thinking?
The day I committed suicide
I thought I was all alone
Like the hills on the seaside

I whisper my remorse
I'm not sure you hear
I will walk this land for eternity
With all my pains and fear
