If I were to die today,
there would be so much left unsaid.
If I were to die today,
so many thoughts would fill your head.

Like the way we ended it,
or before that, how we met.
Or maybe how we loved and lost,
and the things we both regret.

If you were to die today,
I don't think I could go on.
If you were to die today,
I wouldn't be as strong.

But the one thing we could both agree,
if one of us were to die.
The thing we'd think about the most,
Is how we never got to say goodbye.
