In remembrance of a friend who use to be

Looking threw a box of old notes
that we wrote when we were close
the stupid things we would joke about
we were so innocent and young
but now that innocents is gone.
Do you even remember the times we had
sitting on the swings at the park
close to your house
laughing about absolutely nothing,
sneaking into a mall because you
broke the doors open.
the crazy little things we would do.
Those crazy little things didn't mean much
back then
but now they mean everything
because they seem to be gone
no more of those memories will come
you have changed
and you know it too
I'm worried you don't have any room left
for me in this new life of yours.
I don't fit in with this new scene your part of
I love you more than you can imagine
you've helped me threw more than you know
I don't want this to end
I want our relationship to grow.
I don't care that you have other friends
thats not what the matter is
the thing is your moving forward
and I'm being left behind.
you got a new best friend
you may not see it but I do
the way you guys joke around
its the way that we use too
Nobody in my life has taken your place
I cant find anybody to share good times
like we did in the good old days
I don't want these words that I wrote down to hurt you
I just couldn't think of any other way to say it
so this paper and pen I pray will get my point threw
one i really do love you
two I always will
but you have moved on,
you have changed
your not the person that I met that one day
you've changed for your new scene
and thats fine with me
if thats who you want to be.
but just remember i will always be here for you in the end
when you fall down I will be here to grab your hand.
