Like Mother Like Daughter (dont take for granted)

Why is it once every year
Why dont we want to hear
Upon this day you know she cares
You are the child she still bares
You dont even know of this day
She never hears a word you say
Shes your mother, fighter of fear
Remember when she wiped away tear after tear?

Dont walk that path on your own
As long as you have her your not alone
She loves you and needs it in return
My dear child you have so much to learn

Dont walk out on her like your old man
Dont do it because you can
Your all she has and she to you
She looks out for you in all you do
Dont leave her side now she is ill
Many wishes left to fullfill

Upon this day shes no longer here
Who will wipe away each lonely tear
You took her for granter, gave her the blame
Now you shall carry your own shame
Never forget someone was there
Now who have you got to actually care?
Once you have seen some ones pain
You vow youll never do it again
Now the roles have been reversed
You are the mother who will end up cursed
Like mother like daughter isnt that right?
She will hate you with every sight

Why is it once every year
We only say the words she wants to hear
Upon this day you know she cares
You are the child she still bares
Now that you know of this day
Make sure she hears what you have to say
Sheâ??s your mother, fighter of fear
Remember with out her, the path isnt clear

Take care of those who care for you
One day they wont be there to watch over you
This little girl never knew wrong from right
She lost her mother and disapeared for life...
