Stop Denying

Hearing you say those words
Always makes me wonder
You haven't even tried to repair
the previously broken boards
You tell me the same things all the time
But how am I to believe you
When you don't act like you care
It's in your actions and everything you do
That you have no intentions of fixing this
That you are the real one backing out of what we had
And I will no longer take this from you
I will no longer be sad
Because this was never my fault
But you made me feel that way
This is why I am telling you
So that I no longer hear you say
"You are my best friend."
Because we all know it's not true
And don't deny it
For you know it too
