Someone Else's

by Becca   Jul 6, 2007

I see you from afar
I want to touch your cheek
Wondering if you are
The one true love I seek
But if you are the one
Then why are you with her
You smile at me
And my emotions begin to stir
I turn away
Satisfied
I can go home now
And fantasize
But it's not long
Until you come through my door
You drop your coat
And lift me off the floor
You tell me that you love me
I tell you to shut up
Tonight I just want
To have some fun
Moments later, you lie there still
Your head in my chest
You say we should run away together
And forget all the rest
My mind wonders off
That would be nice
But I stop
And think twice
I close my eyes slowly
Holding back the tears
You kiss my lips
Bringing memories of our good years
I know that I'm in live with you
You are the only one for me
We lie there still with guilt in our hearts
Trying to get some sleep
But how dare we
Be so selfish
When our hearts
Are supposed to be someone else's
But we coninue our escapades
Keeping up our charades
Being each other's secret lovers
And going back home to our significant others
What the hell is this
We are someone else's
