The Angel in Fantasy

by RetroRavey   Jul 7, 2007

The glisten of a halo's glow.
Perfection lost,
The beauty of a flaw renewed.
The teeth bite in,
Casting darkness over the eyes...
But an angel still shines
In all that's left
Of the inhumane.
The world may end
And the tears will fall,
But we will escape
Into all of my fantasy,
The glisten of a faerie's wings.
Words mean nothing,
Show me the truth through
The unreal.
The angel sits on high,
So lovely and out of reach,
Even when I hold her in my arms
And hope for fantasy
To list us back to the stars
Where I once lay my head
To rest.
Where I and perfection once danced.
In the glisten of a halo's glow,
Perfection is lost
To the beauty of a flaw renewed.
And the angel and I fly...
We remain in fantasy,
Falling through sleepless nights.
But this is no longer my fantasy,
I am not alone.
