Love is True

I thought Love was literally intangible
(something one cannot touch or feel)
But Ive never seen or heard it,
so how can love be real?

I thought that love was just a mirage
(an illusion of the mind)
so realistic,
that its easy to believe the lie

I thought that love was a quick made up story
(hard to explain and difficult to prove)
but for those who have found love
keep it close because like keys, its easy to lose

Love is just like Mercury or Gold
(dangerous to keep and hard to hold)
I always thought that love was fake
(it was in your dreams but left when you awake)

But the day I met you
I began to see
That love is real
and it exists in me
