Darkness

When the sun takes away the night,
There is still darkness within our souls,
hidden deep inside.

And when the night takes away the sun,
Our souls shall roam free,
releasing the awaiting darkness.

Yet again the sun will come,
to take away our freedom,
our darkness, our happiness.

But do not worry my friends,
As the night will keep on coming,
until that final day,
the day of darkness.

The day we will all be free.

Free to live, free to be happy,
free from everyone and everything.

Ohh how I await the darkness.

    Most people are afraid of the dark. But you're poem will make them curious and eventually like it too..

    Hmmm.... Amazing.
    Very unique... && it felt very... dark. :] An emotional && powerful piece of poetry. The only problem to me was that the flow seemed a tad off in places. But other than that... it was wonderful. 5.5 :]
