The Cycle

One more epiphany,
One more final goodbye
Another reminder that you are gone
Another tear for you I cry

Again and again
These feelings go on
Denial, and the pain
And the acceptance that you are gone

But when I come to except
That you really did die
The denial erupts
And in that pain I cry

Time heels all wounds
And mine left a scar
I picked at my scab
So the pain went pretty far

And when I think
Of how it all came to be,
I just know God has a reason,
Which is greater then you or me
