Will It Ever Be

Known each other since we were kids
So innocent and petite
Now every time I see his face
My heart skips a beat.

Our families meet up every year
Thought he was finally mine
Next morning he spoke not one word
I pretended to be fine.

We left and went out ways again
This message he sent to me
"Never speak to me again"
I replied, "So it shall be"

That year went by ever so slow
Out families met up once more
We spoke hardly once at all
That had never happened before.

Again we left and went away
But it was different this time
I knew I'd miss him so very much
Is loving him such a crime?

I never thought I'd see the day
I cried my self to sleep
Simply because I missed a guy
Whose smile is ever so sweet.

I know he may never like me
But I wish that he was mine
His smile, his laugh, the way he talks
Is what makes him so divine.

My heart will always belong to him
Although he may never see
That I'll love him more every day
And he means everything to me!!
