Old School Prejudice in a New School Scene

On July 8th, the Florida Times Union posted an article about a gay couple that got married, and my mum and I were talkin about it and that's the reason i thought this up. It's funny cause I'm straight but I hate the fact that gays get treated different just because they have a different sexuality than other people so yea, that's the reason for this poem. =]

Marriage comes with a lot of things,
But doesn't love come with it?
Who's to say you can't play the game,
If you're different in the least bit?

Everyone deserves the right,
To mess up their lives.
Even if it means dying forever,
And never going to the kingdom in the skies.

I realize it's a sin,
To be bent in the other direction.
But if they want to join our game of marriage,
We should give no objection.

We can't help that in marriage,
We scream of our happiness out loud.
When it comes to marriage, all they want,
Is to follow the crowd.

I think whatever you are or whoever you are, you should be allowed to get married because it would mean that people are happy, not put down just for being something. You can't help who you are and who you like. If the world had more compromise, then the world would be happy and there'd be no more wars and hatred...
