Dreams of a Trinket.

by MaeThomas   Jul 13, 2007

Is it so bad to look around
And hate the things you see?
Is it pointless thinking of that girl
Every thing you'll never be?

The one and only person
That brings a smile to his face
The one that you now realize
You could never fill the place.

Because it's only for that girl
That his heart and eyes are for
She's his one and only fantasy
You're a friend and nothing more.

A tiny worthless trinket
Lacking proper care
The little thing he tossed away
Not a tear to brim his glare.

Thinking of what life would be
If you were that one girl
The one that smiles at you
While holding close your world.

Yes, if only things were different
And you weren't who you were
Indeed life would be better
If only you were her.
