Two Hearts

by Meet Me On Thames Street   Jul 15, 2007

Our hearts move together
With a slow uncertainty
Unsure what we want
Unsure what we know
Until finally they touch
And both start to glow with that unknown thought
Of being touched by another
Of being held close
All is well till one hesitates
And slowly backs away
Scared of the pain that will come in the end
Scared to lose a very close friend
The other heart stays forever waiting
and Can you guess which heart
Is beating in me
The one who is waiting
Or the one who is free
But they are not really free
Or is that just the way
that it seems to me
But honey I'm still waiting
For you to lose your doubt
And your fear
And here I stay
Waiting for you
At least for today
Just waiting for you
And for now that's all I've got to say
